slow, sick, rainy week

Oh, well this week started out with a lot of rain and a lot of snot. Brody had it first and by thursday afternoon, Joey was in full blown cold, funky, virus, thing that everyone seems to have.

It made for a week of playing at the house.

Tuesday... paint day...

I told him only on the paper. That lasted a whole 3 minutes.

Then Brody woke up.

Brody's first time to paint. He just had to taste it.

Good thing it's washable!

Even Avery was a victim.

Zoo Day!

My Dad had never been to the Ft. Worth Zoo, and my Mom had not been since we were younger. The weather was beautiful last week so we decided to go! Jessica and the kids met us there. It was a very nice day. It was the first time Brody had ever really noticed the animals, and he has been to the zoo at least a dozen times.

First official project of 2012: Operation DIY 2013 Calendar

Every month I will take a series of photos and I will pick the best to put in my 2013 Calendar.

My theme for January 2013 is NYE, and since I had all the duds from our party this year, it was really easy to do.

I still haven't read the directions to my camera. My plan to take tutorials on it soon, so hopefully my skills will improve over this year. Plus my models weren't exactly cooperating. But as I say, it takes only one to have a good shoot, I think there is a couple winners in the bunch!

Miss Kessler Marie

Isn't she so sweet!! Lizzie and Eric welcomed Kessler Marie on December 17. I finally went to meet her last Wednesday. She is a very sweet happy little baby!

Lizzie looks great and is such a great Mom! It was so fun to visit with her and meet her new little nugget!

Monday was our last day of swim lessons. They finished the semester by having the kids jump in with their clothes on to see if they could get out of the pool if they accidently fell in.

The other two kids in the class were not there, so Hudson and Joey had a private lesson!

Our swimming school days are over for now. He passed the clothes test, which for me, was the goal of the class. The one minor variable in this test which could not be changed was the temperature of the pool. A warm 90 degrees is a lot easier to get out of, than lets say, a 60 degrees pool or lake.

Joey has had Mr. Chris for two sessions at Emler. He even fake cried a little when I told him that class was over and he had to say goodbye.

Next up, Brody. But he will be partaking in the "Mommy" addition of swim lessons this summer and then hopefully he will be good enough and old enough to do Elmer by himself. I will not get back in that pool again!

Back to the Basics

Well, 2011 came and went with fury. We moved a year ago this week. I shouldn't say "we". Little Joe, Avery, and I left Florida and moved in with my parents. I was 36 weeks pregnant, fat, hungry, tired, and stressed. We saw Joey twice before he came to meet the moving truck and no keys to a house. But, everything finally worked it self out, as it always does, we moved in with help from family, I had Brody a week later.

What a month! I'm glad its behind us.

As 2012 approached, I couldn't help but set some goals and expectations for this coming year. I feel like I have a blank canvas... no moves and no more babies (for this year at least). What to do now.

I decided to steal Joey's company's 2012 focus, because it fit perfectly with all of the goals I'm setting for myself this year...

Back to the Basics!

* Slow down. Enjoy

* Be less frustrated

* Become a student (specifically Yoga, Photography, Spiritually)

* Become a teacher (for my kids)

* Invest more in what matters

* Stay healthy

So, we will see what happens. We did a lot of celebrating in December. The last two weeks of December Joey had off work, so we spent a lot of time with family and friends, drank, ate, and laughed a lot! Although we missed close family that lives far away, we really enjoyed the people here, around us, which is the best perk to moving back to Texas.

Time to dry up (for the moment). Refocus. Here's to 2012!

Cancun

We travelled to Cancun on January 3rd. Joey had his annual meeting that included spouses, so we decided to make it a family vacay.

I managed to take five photos the entire trip, so here they are...

All I'm going to say about this trip is that next year Joey and I will be going by ourselves. Also, I enjoyed meeting many of Joey's coworkers and their wives. That is all.

It doesn't get much nicer than 70 degrees in December, so since Joey was on vacation, we decided to go to the Ft. Worth Zoo (and finally eat at In nOut one of Joey's fav fast food places)

Christmas Eve we went over to my parents, and Santa stopped by to say hi to Joey and Brody!

After Santa's visit, the Johnson Family came over for our yearly Christmas Eve Party. It was great to see everyone! We were on the road early to prepare for Santa's arrival at our house.

We met Jamie, Logan, and Baby Isaac at The Gaylord to play in the "Winter Wonderland" on tuesday. Jamie brought her fancy camera and sent me the pictures. There are some really cute ones of the kids!

Santa's brother, Billy Joe Santa was walking around The Gaylord... Joey loved him... Brody started crying. He was a very nice man.

Santa didn't arrive until 4pm, so we didn't get to see him. We are going back this week to see Santa. More pictures to come!

Hudson turns 3

Joey's friend Hudson, from swimming, who happens to live a street over from us, turned 3 last Sunday, and had a SUPER FUN birthday party at a Ranch by our house.

First they played in the petting zoo.

Joey has been partaking in Gymnastics now for a couple of months. He has learned to really love it. The class consists of Aslynn, Tatum, Zander and Joey. Can't forget to give a shout out to Coach Rod. The kids love him...

The Moms and babies usually sit behind a mirrored window, but last week they invited everyone in the Gym to watch the kids, and they loved it.

White Rock Marathon

Okay... I did not run the full marathon, or even the half marathon.

5 of us ran on December 4th, in the SHITTIEST weather of the year **I can use curse words because I stood outside in the weather for a couple of hours that day**

Alison, Liz K (fill in for Joey), Eric, Jessica and I (in that order) ran a total of 26.4 miles. Joey was suppose to run but he injured himself the week before and decided to opt out.

We had two honorary team members... Dylan and Tiffany. Dylan drove Jessica and I around so we did not have ride the trolleys and fend for ourselves! It was so GREAT to be able to wait in a warm car! Tiffany was with us too, but she was on a different relay team.

It down-poured most of the day and was a balmy high of 40 degrees.The race began at 8 am and I crossed the finish line around 12:30 ish.

After the race we all went to brunch for some bottomless mimosas.

my experience:

It was fun to run with the group. It would have been a lot better if the weather would have cooperated a little. The adrenaline rush was fun. Mile 4 was NOT FUN. I enjoy running up until the point where my joints and muscles start to burn.

I'm not sure if it was the champagne after the race, the five mile run, or a germ i caught in the port a potty, but I was feeling very sick for two days after the race.

I'll be taking some time off from running for now :) Maybe in a couple months I'll get the itch to start training for another race. Let's see how much weight I gain over the holidays! Running is great for my figure!

Mckenna Grace arrived a full 3 - 4 weeks early, healthy and beautiful! Nicole and Chase welcomed their new baby girl on Sunday, December 4. She was 5 lbs 15 oz.

Thanksgiving In Charlotte

For Thanksgiving we got the heck out of dodge and flew to Charlotte.

Halloween 2011

I can't believe how this year is flying by! It's halloween again! No way!

On Sunday we carved the pumpkin into the Jack-o-lantern. Joey hates getting his picture taken. You'll notice lack of eye contact in most of the pictures.

Monday I got the costumes out and we played dress up for a little while :) It was also time to get ready of our sort of impromptu Halloween party. My parents, the Harigs, the Karams, the Smiths, and Bobby Love and Tracy all came over to celebrate. It was a lot of fun!

Joey was Super Why! for Halloween. After watching some halloween cartoons he decided he wanted to be a monster. So instead of scraping the entire Super Why look... he became Super Why Monster!

Chicago

Since Joey was only home 2 night within a three week span, he insisted on us traveling to Chicago with him (didn't have to twist my arm). Flights were so cheap that we took my Mom. It turned out to be a great little family get away!

We spent the first part of the trip in Naperville. We saw the O'Briens (of course we stayed at their house.) It was great spending time with Maggie, Danny, Tracey, and Jack. The kids are getting so big! Maggie is 14 in a couple of days and Danny turned 12 while we were there. Joey loved spending time with them!!

We also visited with my Aunt Ginger and Uncle Mick, my Uncle Brian and Aunt AnnMarie, my Mom's friends Michelle and John, Joann, and Joleen, and my childhood friend Jill and her baby Eli.

Of course I took no pictures. The only picture I took in Naperville was of Joey jumping in the leaves. He loved it!

On Thursday we headed downtown. Joey had us stay at a great hotel on the river. This was the view from our room!

Thursday night we had dinner with Ben. He was in town to receive an award for being a "high performer" from his work.

Friday we went down to Navy Pier. It was a beautiful day!

There was a freaky carnival theme going on at the Pier. I think little Joey is still a little freaked out by the Lizard Man. The monkey guy freaked me out!

When I asked Joey what his favorite part of the day was he said... "being Woo Woo" which in Joey language means being Woody from toy story. He loved riding the "BIG HORSE".
After Navy Pier we went down the Shed Aquarium. They have Dolphins and Beluga Whales, which was the highlight for me... they were also showing a 4-D Dora and Diego Movie... which was the highlight for little Joey.
Friday night my Mom watched the boys (with Ben's help) and Joey and I went on a date! It was a really great week!

More October

October brought busy weeks (with swimming, tuesdays at the library, and gymnastics on Wednesday and other stuff in between)... A LOT of traveling for Joey.... Runny noses and coughs for everyone.

I have started running. I am running in a relay at White Rock Lake in December, so in preparation for this event, I have started running around my neighborhood. The farthest I have ran is 4 miles. I have to run 5.2 on race day. Thankfully I still have time to train (or whatever you call what I'm doing.) I am getting in pretty good shape, I should have done this a long time ago!

The last part of the month really slowed down because we took a "time out" to get well. Here is my Brody and I. Little Joey took this picture.

Brody is getting so big! He is on his way to toddler-hood. He now stands by him self. He will for sure be walking by Christmas!

Brody's hair has really come in! It's a little crazy sometimes!

Little Joey is going to be Super Why! for halloween. His costume came in a couple weeks before halloween, but he insists on wearing it all the time. Hey, at least we got our moneys worth out of this costume!

Next year Brody will be trying to throw pumpkins at me trying to take his picture. I will always cherish these photos!

Michele, Margaret, and I went to the Dallas Arboretum on Tuesday to have a picnic and collect some pumpkins. It turned into a great photo opp!

So the animal guy looked at me and asked "where you here earlier?" I said "no" and kept taking photos of my cute son, and then I realized I looked familiar to him because he was was at my house for Joey's birthday party with the same animals. small world. Poor ... drugged animals.
Then, Joey got his face painted and turned in to "Tiger Boy". He couldn't believe his face. He would have stood in front of that mirror all day!

I mean... seriously... I should take him to Kim Dawson right now and sign him up.

It was a great day! Great time! If your in Dallas and have kids or don't have kids and want pumpkins they are VERY REASONABLE ( most you'll pay is $6 for a large pumpkin!)

We made the "GREAT ROAD TRIP" west to my our old stomping grounds two weeks ago to hang out with good friends and see Texas Tech BEAT Nevada (barely).

We arrived in good ole' Lubbock Friday night (left BroBro with the grandparents). The West family were nice enough to keep us for the weekend! Good friends, Good Food, and Good Wine... everything you need for a great weekend.

Then the diarrhea struck. Not me... I wouldn't blog about my diarrhea. Little Joey had the cha cha cha's with a fever all weekend. But he was a good sport.

starting from the left (Joey, Bryan, Cameron, Micah, Rachel, Liz, Joey, and Joey... yes there were three Joey's and at one point there was another man by the name of Joey which made four Joeys).

Tech Won! We had a really great time, and the West's were WONDERFUL hosts (as always) and it was great weekend!

Labor Day 2011

Back to reality... Brody is a manaic! He is crawling everywhere. Standing up on anything he can, and then falling everywhere. He will walk up to Joey and try to steal the toy he is playing with and then Joey will yell "NO BRODEEEE" and push him down and then Brody will start screaming. This happens about twenty times a day.

After being on vay-cay for a week... I was out of my mind... time to get out of the house! We crashed my parents house for three days in a row (while they were out of town). It was very peaceful. No dogs (they were all at my house), no cleaning worries (accept picking after our selves). Just what I needed!

The heat finally broke... high of 83 degrees... (in my best "joey" from blossom voice) Woohooo. Time to play outside. Brody is finally big enough and strong enough to take wagon rides.

Joey still hates getting his picture taken. He wont pose for anyone! He wont even pose for a bribe! (ice cream, prize, splash park, whatever...)

Saturday Joey and I went to the LSU vs Oregon game. Yes, I was a trader... (show me your guns texas tech raiders... yay we won!).

Joey was one of the smallest people at the tailgate if you can believe it!

Monday we went to the splash park... bribe for good behavior for babysitter worked (we think).
It was cool outside... so we spent most the time at the park.
Brody loves the swing! He also loved the cool air on his new tooth! YES ... He got his first tooth! Working on his second right now.

Warm Springs, Stuart Island, BC, Canada

Joey and I were lucky enough to have the pleasure to visit Warm Springs, Stuart Island in BC Canada last week.

We left on a Thursday, and flew from DFW to YRV (Vancouver). When we arrived we had a couple of hours to spare so we jumped on the subway and explored Vancouver. Vancouver is one of the coolest cities I have ever been to! It sits between mountains and the ocean. It's very clean, full of culture and young people. We were there for one of the warmest weekends of the year, (highs in the 80's ... great for us!) so the city was buzzing!

On Friday we went back to Vancouver and stopped by LuLu Lemon (started in Vancouver). The design director was in the store... so that was pretty cool. LuLu Lemon is a clothing store that sells a life style of yoga and clean living along with there fashionable workout and sporting clothes.

Then it was off to the airport where we took a seaplane from Vancouver to Stuart Island. The flight was a breath taking 45 minutes.

I was a little nervous... but it was actually less stressful for me than a regular flight. We only flew 8,000 feet so we could really see the landscape below!

We landed and WOW! I took a quick video of the grounds.

There is a main house where Mr. Ritchie and his family stays, there is the barge house where guests stay. There are four rooms on the barge upstairs. A full kitchen, dinning room, and living room on the bottom, including a large deck with a hot-tub. The top of the barge is a sundeck. There are two "dinning" buildings. One is located right off the dock. It's an old boat that is placed upside down. The other building is a glass room which they call the "kunsumatorium". Both building have full kitchens and bars. There is also a game room, pool house with two rooms, employee quarters (which are two large houses for the staff), the 2 boat houses, the hanger and hanger house, and I'm sure there is more I just didn't see. The grounds are INCREDIBLE! Since we went with such a large group, Joey and I stayed in one of the rooms under the pool.

We found our rooms, had a quick snack and then it was time to fish.

Our group was divided into to pairs or groups of three. A cooler was packed, and then we found or assigned fishing guide and we were on our way!

Steve was my first guide. I did not catch a fish the first day, but Jeane, my partner did. The only fish catch that day!

I was just happy to be on the boat! This is view back to the Ritchie

That evening we had a very spirited dinner in the upside down boat. All the food is hand made by gourmet chefs. EVERYTHING WAS VERY DELICIOUS! I seriously gained 5 pounds. The wine wasn't bad either (wink wink... the best house wine I've ever had)

After dinner the entertainment turned on the crowd and soon we were all improntu Karokeing. Here I am in my rasta hat, dreads in all.

The next day we were all up bright and early to fish again. I did not take the camera thinking that would bring me good fishin luck... but of course it didn't. I didn't catch anything that morning.

Lunch was served on the deck of the upside down boat. Good food but a terrible view... ha ha.

After lunch they took us on a tour of the grounds. This is the runway for the airport. This the only runway in the vicinity used by all the neighbors (The Nordstroms and his next door neighbor Dennis Washington). I didn't know who Dennis Washington was before coming on this trip, but he has beautiful property next door.

After lunch we fished again. I caught a fish! and I also drank a lot on the boat. I'm not sure where the camera was but I have no pictures. That evening we had drinks in the wine cellar, took a tour of Mr. Ritchies' home and then had dinner in the "konsumatorium". Dinner was followed by Karaoke... by that time I had enough food and drink for one day and I snuck out as soon as I could.

The next morning we were back fishing! I caught another fish in the morning. At lunch we were picked up by the Arete, Mr. Ritchie's yacht, and had lunch and played cards. I want a yacht.

We were lucky enough to see Orka Whales.

There is a tradition when someone catches a fish over 30 pounds its called a "Taihee" and its celebrated by using a sword to uncork champagne. Someone in a group caught a 30 pounder that morning so we received champange at lunch. Not a bad day!

That after noon I finally got to fish with Joey. It was my favorite fishing trip of the weekend! The weather was beautiful! I actually got a tan. Our guide was great, and we caught fish!

That evening we had dinner at the boat house. Again it was fantastic. After dinner we took a ride out to the runway and watched the stars. It was incredible!

Last day... and we went fishing again. I fished with Joey again. It was a little cooler that morning. I kept my floatation jacket on all morning. We caught the biggest fish of the day!

Our guide Peter owns property on the island. Good guy to know!

Lastly we took a tour of Dennis Washington's golf course designed by Robert Trent (again never heard of him before this trip). The golf course was breathtaking! It rated one of the top 20 golf courses in the world.

We saw a bald eagle on the course.

Some of the most dangerous waters in the world are in this area. Look at how the water swirls... that's why we had to wear the big jackets.

That was our trip. I'm exhausted even blogging about it.

It was wonderful!

We have entered into STRANGER DANGER ZONE. He is scared of people, noises, oh basically everything. Time to toughen him up... jk.. jk... he is just a baby. So I will baby him.

Joey (If you ask him... JoJo Phoebe) I'm trying to teach him that we have a first and last name and he doesn't get it.

Okay... Joey does not like getting his picture taken anymore. So I snapped this with out him noticing. His modeling career is non-existent now. I mean, a model who doesn't like his picture taken. My dreams are crushed.

We travelled to SoFlo last week. We had a blast! It was nice to get out of the heat (ha ha). We spent the first part of our trip with Nicole and Chase. We got to celebrate Nicole's birthday with her! She is having a baby in late December, so it was great to see her (little) baby bump! She looks great!

The second part of the trip we spent with my cousin Hilary and her family. It was great to see and play with everyone. Joey, Jilly, and Miles picked up right where they left off and Phoebe and Brody became fast friends!

I didn't get to reconnect with everyone I wanted to (the week went by so fast!) but we had an AWESOME visit with the peoples we did see!!

We will be back for Mckenna's arrival early next year!!

Busy start to August!

Joey was gone most of last week, and so the kids and I stayed as busy as possible. We stayed over at my parents house a couple of nights. We had play dates (The Karams aka choo-choo boys). I had "lady lunches." And one crazy lunch with Lizzie (I do want to reschedule) and a baby shower.

This is the picture from our lunch with Lizzie. This is how the entire lunch went. (I'm still really sorry Lizzie!) It was great to see Lizzie! Next time, no kids!

We go to Florida next week to visit Nicole and Chase and the Minessales. I just looked at the weather... This is what I saw.

This is what we get for booking a trip in August. Maybe one of these storms will bring some rain to Texas and cool us down. I'm trying to stay positive. I went almost five years with no hurricanes living in Florida, and if I get stuck in one visiting... I'm going to be a little upset.

Theme of Month 5: growing and changing!

The 4th month is ALWAYS hard for me ('cause it's all about me right? ha ha).

But really.... I think it's the point when the "newborn" officially becomes the "baby". But ohhhhhh how do I LOVE month 5! They start "doing stuff" and the best part is they realize they are "doing stuff". It's the best!

Joey and Brody are actually playing together! I know in six month from now it will be Mom against boys and I'll be so proud! Nothing better than seeing your children bonding!

Week of Milestones

We live in Texas now so guns aren't a big deal right? I'm only joking.

I am currently decorating little Joe's room in "sports" theme. Big Joey remembered that he had a stack full of pennants in a box in the garage from when he was little. When he looked in the box he found this old laser gun that still worked! Some serious battery power! Joey had fun with it for a little while. We were surprised that is knew what to do with it and how to hold it. Milestone #1

Milestone #2 JOEY IS POTTY TRAINED! (for the most part) That is why you have seen a lot of naked pictures. and because he likes to be naked. He has done so well. I was a little worried he was a little too young, but he did great! I had been ignoring potty ready signs for the last couple of months. Finally it was time. One week later and only 4 accidents total! Not too shabby!

Milestone #3 He likes his room ... to sleep in! Really. He would prefer going to sleep in his room, over sleeping in my room (okay hubby... OUR ROOM). This is a big deal. With Sister Britt living with us last summer, a crazy fall, and an even crazier winter Little Joe was all kinds of messed up with sleeping. (You like my Texas Talk... I know I'm speakin' country) At least he likes his room. If he could just get over the noise of the AC... things would be golden!

Milestone #4 Brody is on a sleep schedule! Thank goodness! He goes to sleep every night at 10 pm. He wakes up around 10 am in the morning (yes, he is a VERY GOOD BABY). He takes a nap around 1pm and wakes up around 3 or 4 pm. (with mini naps in between there). Shoot, baby number two is shaping up quite well!

Milestone #5 Momma got a babysitter! I finally released my kid control and got a babysitter and it feels damn good! I'm gonna do it again!

Milestone #6 Brody is eating food (if that's what you want to call it but I wouldn't eat it). We started rice cereal. His babyhood is going so quickly! They (the baby talking heads... aka "What to except when expecting... first year") suggest to start a sippy cup next month! What??? I can't even believe it! With Joey I had the cups waiting... with Brody... I'm procrastinating (poet and didn't even know it!)

ALMOST MILESTONES... give it a month and they will be...

Almost Milestone #1 Brody is about to crawl. Seriously... he could do it any second. But I've been saying this for about 2 weeks now. So knowing babies... knowing Brody (I thought I was going to go into labor for about 3 weeks... and it never happened... I needed drugs for him to leave) he will crawl in another month. Doesn't matter... it's still really early! Joey didn't move until he was 7 months. This boy is ready to go!

Almost Milestone# 2 (warning*** TMI) Almost officially off the Boob. I said I would stop at six months and I'm sticking to it. I'm down to two feedings a day... and those are questionable. I'll be done in two weeks. Finally, officially have my body back. and because a whisper of a third baby in a couple of years has been mentioned ... I'm very okay with that! And Bro Bro loves his ba-ba's! It might be his first word. He starts to dance when he sees me get the formula out.

It's been a tough couple of weeks, but I have to say, but I'm seeing the benefits! Children work best on schedules. Mommy's work best on schedules! I have been a complete hermit for the last couple of weeks and it worked! Hopefully I can keep it up!

We had a great weekend... it's officially pool season! We had dinner with the Bulte's on friday. Saturday we went and celebrated my Mom's birthday at Joe T. Garcia's (which was lovely). Sunday we pooled it up at grandma and Pop Pop's house.

Before I start giving out my shout outs... I just wanted to note that I am sitting here eating "4th meal" enjoying my second glass of wine in a quiet... sleeping household... and it is wonderful!

We have a had a very busy spring! It's been great! We did our the Lupus Walk in April. Go "TEAM BOELTER". We would have won if Joey would have ran faster.

Then in May we celebrated Ben Boelter's 26th birthday and My Mom's birthday (Happy Birthday!!!)

My friend Jessica and Dylan had their second baby... Baby Druz, and Monica and Jeff had their second baby, Baby Noah. My friends Lizzie and Eric Whitmire announced they are having a baby in mid-December!

Matt and Lindsey purchased their first home! Congratulations guys!

Joe and Michele came to visit us for little Joey's birthday last week. We had a wonderful visit! Went by too fast as always!

Baby Brody has awaken from his newborn coma. I have two kids now. This week has been a little more difficult than weeks past, but we are adjusting!

Easter weekend was fun! I can't believe it's over and May is already next week!

Saturday we went over to Lonestar Park for Dollar Day! I had never been to the horse races there. It was a little hot, but a lot of fun!

Sunday morning the Easter Bunny came. Joey loved his Easter basket (especially the candy)!

Easter was great. The weather spoiled our plans to hang out by the pool, but it was still a relaxing day. I seriously gained 4 pounds yesterday. Its sort of a set back when I'm trying to lose my last ten pounds. Oh well.

The Ft. Worth Zoo has a Dinosaur exhibit going on "now until July 20"... my little plug for the zoo. We decided to go check it out since little Joe LOVES dinosaurs (now imagine a little boy who cannot speak clearly, saying "dino dan"... all my nick jr lovers know what we are talkin about!)

Big Joey has never been to the Ft. Worth Zoo so it was fun to show off our regular stomping grounds.

In three years...

In three years we have...

* created two wonderful children

* had 5 jobs between the two of us (I'm of course counting "being a Mom" as a job)

* gone through 3 cars (fusion, x5, altima) plus the two we have now

* graduated with an MBA (good job Joey!)

* lost grandmothers

* gained sister in laws and brother in laws

* traveled our butts off! (little joey has flown in first class and has more stamps in his passport than most adults!)

* moved across country

* drank a lot of wine, ate a lot of great food, and had a lot of laughs!

To celebrate our three year wedding anniversary Joey treated me to an AWESOME dinner at Fearings at the Ritz in Dallas. Our great friend Cameron took care of us and treated us to one of the best dinners we have ever had. We had a 7 (yes SEVEN) course meal, and a couple hours of "us" time. I couldn't have planned a better night! All with a driver home so we didn't have to worry about how much we drank!

Thanks mom for watching the boys!!! Thanks Joey for being my best friend and great partner!

Friday we travelled over to the Grapevine Train Station to meet Thomas the Train. It was a great event for kids! We will be back next year (hopefully with no tantrums this time ~insert smiley face~)

Afterward we took advantage of the warm weather and went for a dip in the pool.
Saturday I went to a baby shower for Monica and of course took no pictures. It was great to visit with all my pregnant friends (sorry girls, but I'm so glad to have that baby out of me!). Monica looks great! She is due in a few weeks!

Sunday we did a little kite flying (since it was SO windy!)

That evening we dropped Brody off at Grandma and Grandpa's house and we went to the AA center for Toy Story on Ice. We had really great seats!

I couldn't figure out how the heck Bullseye was operated... I mean is there really two people in this costume??

The show was good, and got a lot better when I found out they sold beer and enjoyed a cold one after intermission! Joey loved it, and that's all thats matters!!

The Pool is OPEN

The Boelter pool is open... at least it is for Joey. It's way too cold for anyone else. With sunny days in the 80's we took advantage of the nice weather and spent a couple of afternoons at the pool! I was happy! Since leaving Florida I have turned an unhealthy shade of pale, and the truth is fat looks better tan than white.

Brody at 5 weeks... He is at Bubba status! I'm not sure how much he weighs, but at 5 weeks he already looks like a cute chunky monkey!

"The egg" was handed down to me by a florida friend. The most comfortable place for a baby at the pool!

St. Patty's day marked the One Month Birthday of our Little Baby Brody. He is not so little anymore. I would say he is over 10 lbs... which is most likely wrong. He is probably only 9 pounds. I can't believe he is already a month old!

For St. Patty's day we made cornbeef with potatoes, carrots, and of course cabbage. It was actually really great! Matt, Lindsey, and my Mom came over. It was a nice evening!
